Founder and Senior Therapist
“I live a very active lifestyle, regularly taking part in physical activity. I compete in two squash leagues across Yorkshire with recent successful wins including Leeds Metro Squash Division 1 Winners 2017 and York and District Squash League Division 2 Winners 2014.
When I was younger I played rugby league and football.
Throughout my childhood I represented every sports team in the school which won me the ‘sportsman of the year’ awarded by the school.
My passion for sport lead me to study sports science at York College from 2006 – 2009.
I then continued on this passion into higher education at York College where I studied sport and exercise science with sports therapy. Alongside this course I studied sports massage which quickly became my favourite subject. I instantly became passionate about it and helped out in the sports injury clinic at the college, helping to treat the sports academies at the college, as well as the general public. I built quite a repertoire of clients all with varying levels of treatments from bad backs to general maintenance.
Further to this I volunteered to help the North Yorkshire rugby service area run by York City Knights with their first aid and treatment needs.
Throughout my active life I have personally come across many injuries including muscle pulls, ligament sprains and unfortunately broken bones. Sometimes the road to recovery was long and hard and sometimes painful. I believe sports massage has helped me recover quicker and become a better athlete for this. Suffering these injuries has helped me understand the importance of proper recovery.
Sports massage has now become my passion. Helping athletes overcome injuries, giving them maintenance on a regular basis throughout their tough training regimes, and helping out the general public with achy muscles and repetitive strain injuries.
I believe sports massage is for everyone and I definitely recommend it to if you’re physically active and want to aid recovery, if you’re recovering from an injury or if you want some general maintenance to overcome everyday aches and pains.”
